TCA 2016: “Archer” to Move to FXX Again; Network Wants To Re-Commit to Animation in 2017

We’ve heard some of this before.

For the last three seasons, FX Networks has threatened to move Archer to FXX, but all three times the network ends up putting the show back on FX. Welp, it looks as though FX Networks is getting serious this time about putting the recently renewed and Emmy nominated series on FXX once and for all.

I actually kinda feel bad for Archer, because San Diego Comic Con would’be been a golden opportunity to promote the move, but that didn’t happen. For proof, watch this clip:

Other points of interest that were brought up during FX’s presentation at TCA 2016, was that we officially got confirmation that the ADHD Studios have been shut down for good, and that John Landgraf swears that FXX is going to be home to more animation.

John hasn’t announced specifically any new animation projects for FXX, however the network has been taking animation presentations from some big names like Louis CK/Albert Brooks, P. Diddy, Seth Rogen, and more. With Landgraf wanting to appeal to younger audiences, names like this could do the trick. Personally, I’d like to see some of the Animation Domination HD shit come back like Axe Cop or Stone Quackers.
