Review: Teen Titans GO! ‘Starfire the Terrible’

 Spoilers Below

It’s Motorcycle Monday and Robin uses that to his advantage to take down the latest cemented baddy. Robin thinks this is great, but the rest of the team isn’t impressed and note that the boy wonder doesn’t even have an evil side kick. Starfire decides to volunteer as the villain so that Robin can take that next step in being the superhero he thinks he is. After a bit of training, Starfire becomes a pretty ruthless villain and ends up kicking the shit out of Robin. Next, she destroys his jars of hair gel and now Robin’s REALLY mad. Robin tries to round up the other heroes, but none of them are believing the fact that Starfire is bad, and even the terrible evil dude music isn’t helping. You know what does help?? When Starfire blows up the moon then drinks straight from the milk carton…the WHOLE CARTON!  Turns out Starfire’s pretty much a bitch as a villain and to prove it she brings along a whole bunch of death bots that cause all sorts of havoc. And just when it seems that the chips are down, Robin calls on his motorcycle to help out with the win.

An interesting concept, though I would have thought Raven would’ve been the one to try and be a bad guy. That said I was rather impressed with how daunting Starfire really was and was certainly down with her death bots causing all sorts of trouble. Better yet, the fight scene that was directed rather flawlessly and I couldn’t help but laugh hysterically at all the things Starfire was trying to do to be a bad guy with my favorite being how much weight was being put on the drinking straight out of a milk carton.
