Well would you look at that! Mr. Sterling Archer is hosting Animation Domination this weekend! Pretty awesome the animated ecosystem that FOX has here spanning two networks.  Plus David Letterman guest spotting for the couch gag…great way to start the week! Well, not for Lisa who is in court testifying for a crime. Her story brings us to a recently opened shopping mall.  While there, Homer buys a new laptop and graciously lets a depressed Lisa use it to try and talk to her “friends” online. Its here she puts together a team to build her OWN social network called Springface. And not surprisingly, its a hit!

Almost too much of a hit, because before you know it everyone is on their tablets, phones, and computers logged in tap, tap, tapping away, however it really is a shallow attempt by Lisa to get friends, and she soon learns that just because you have a 1000 friends online, it really doesn’t mean squat in the real world. As a matter of fact, because of everyone’s obsession with Springface, Springfield soon loses its mind and Lisa has to shut down her site. BUT, this means Lisa gets to make real friends.

Definitely a LOT to take in here!  The Simpsons easily take the crown for the best AniDom show for the night. Between the parking lot scruff that Homer puts up at the mall, to Marge’s graveyard of Gift Cards(was surprised to see a Barnes and Noble one). Top it off with Nelson’s Angry Birds gag all wrapped into a beautifully written satire of America’s reliance on gadgets and Social networks. Yea, this episode was a classic…proving yet again the writers for The Simpsons are at the tippy top of their game.
