Review: Regular Show “One Space at a Time”

How do you make being in space….weird? In that, normally, Regular Show likes to setup it’s episodes to be funny, and then BOOM a fantastical element shows up and we’re off to the races in terms of odd. When you’re in space, you can’t really rely on the tried-and-true tropes of fast-food joints or races at a derby, everything you do now…is in space.

So, season eight premiere episode, I think establishes some ideas that may help us with some of these in the future. We’re in the park, but we have rudimentary food products, some carts and space pods, and Eileen. I’ll be curious to see if the producers of Regular Show bother to check in on our town’s residents from time-to-time, or are we sticking to the park employees in space?

In “One Space at a Time”, everyone’s trying to take their present situation one day at a time. Tempers are up which causes a whole bunch of craziness near the end when Mordecai and Rigby nearly become marooned in outer orbit, but there is hope with our fabled space-travelers. But, when the time comes, will WE be ready to say goodbye to Regular Show?
