Spoilers Below

Dylan crashes a local government hearing with her monster Golan.  He comes by and announces that there will be a death orgy at the gazebo, but Mackenzie B. already has the place booked. Golan smashes shit and leaves the room in disgust.

Dylan’s parents Richard and Carol head to their daughter’s room and decide to ask Golan about this citation on Rich’s car. Turns out Rich’s license has been suspended so now Carol has to drive him to court to clear his name leaving Golan to babysit Dylan. While the duo are watching TV, they see a water park ad for a place called Ragin Fun and they decide to go. It’s here we meet Alexis aka Dylan’s sister and it looks as though he’s got sort of a crush on the kids. Keith invites Dylan and Golan to hang with them, and they head to this big huge slide. Dylan can’t go on it because she isn’t tall enough, so Golan rides it down by himself. Unfortunately, Dylan is nowhere to be found and Golan’s gotta find her. Turns out Keith finds Dylan and as a result Golan beats the shit out of Keith. Dylan and Golan head home to tell Rich and Carol all about what went down.

Anyone a fan of death/black metal? You may LOVE this show. If you’ve ever read lyrics to early death metal songs, Golan’s descriptions and morbid actions sound very inspired by that and that’s A OK with me. Golan also has a pretty stellar cast not only featuring Mary Mack, but Maria Bamford and Rachel Butera. Maria is a comic legend and usually slays when she performs and I distinctly remember Rachel winning a voice over contest on the Howard Stern Show several years ago. Overall, Golan is funny as hell but I’m not sure if I would’ve picked this episode to be the sneak given that it was all about Golan looking for Dylan and worrying about her. The show isn’t one where it has been on for a while of which would give us ample time to examine and ingratiate ourselves in a budding relationship between Dylan and Golan, and furthermore I hope we get some sort of back story on the world that we live in. For example, how did Golan come to be? Are there other monsters like him out there? These are questions I already have and yes, I’m looking forward to more as a result.
