Mondo Media teams up with Home Plate on Dick Figure movie sequel and more
I haven’t seen an official press release on Mondo Media’s website, but Animation Magazine is reporting that Home Plate Entertainment’s Bill Schultz is teaming up with Mondo Media to produce THREE feature-length animated films inspired by their huge animated Youtube franchises.
Already in the works are film-length features such as Dick Figures 2, Happy Tree Friends, and Deep Space 69. Unlike the first Dick Figures movie, all of these films will be financed in-house and marketed both on digital and more traditional platforms.
If this indeed turns out to be true, then this is a huge landmark in animated film. For so long, we’ve had the Pixars and Dreamworks of the world constantly put out kids entertainment, and Mondo Media looks to be the first to really start the process of building out animated film slates geared towards an older crowd.

Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
