G4 Signs Kitboga for Network’s First Animated Series

Today, G4 announced they have signed a development deal with popular Twitch streamer, Kitboga, for an animated series.

Kitboga has garnered millions of followers across Twitch and Youtube for conning the cons by posing as victims of would-be phone scammers and wasting the scammer’s time, so viewers get a good laugh while the scammers scam fewer people! It’s the closest thing the internet has to justice. The show will highlight the best of Kitboga’s anti-scams, unless Kitboga is tricking G4 too, in which case, honestly, we still respect the effort.

“Phone scammers are pushy, rude, manipulative, and thanks to Kitboga, they’re finally getting a taste of their own medicine,” said Dan Martin, G4’s Executive Director of Development, who, full disclosure,  later on in the call tried to sell me a timeshare. “The animated series will highlight how ridiculous and inept these scammers are.”

“If you own a phone, you’re getting calls from scammers trying to trick you. I started streaming as a way to fight back and raise awareness,” said Kitboga. “The animated series I am creating with G4 will feature some of the most shocking and hilarious calls I’ve been on. This time, I’m the one tricking the scammers, instead of them trying to trick you!”

The addition of the animated series with Kitboga is the latest piece of G4’s programming slate tied to the network launch. Previous programming announcements include the return of Attack of the Show!, X-Play, and Ninja Warrior, a new video game competition series in partnership with WWE, and a limited four-part Dungeons and Dragons series with Wizards of the Coast.
