Event News: Adult Swim Festival 2022 ; South Park 25th Anniversary

Red Rock Ampitheater in Denver, Colorado has announced a second night of South Park’s 25th Anniversary concert celebration featuring show creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, Primus, & Ween happening on August 9th. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, June 10th.

Music has played an essential part in the series since its debut 25 years ago and the concert will feature some fan favorites . 

Co-creators Parker and Stone are executive producers, along with Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell and Vernon Chatman are producers. Christopher Brion is the creative director of South Park Digital Studios. “South Park’s” website is SouthPark.CC.com.

MTV Entertainment Studios’ expansive deal with Parker and Stone includes extending “South Park” on Comedy Central through 2027 and taking cable’s longest-running scripted series – August 13, 2022 marks the franchise’s 25th anniversary – through an unprecedented 30th season. In addition to the series extension, the new deal includes 14 “South Park” original made-for-streaming events exclusively for Paramount+, including last year’s “SOUTH PARK: POST COVID” and “SOUTH PARK: POST COVID: THE RETURN OF COVID”. The series has earned five Emmy Awards, to date, and a George Foster Peabo

Those in the Philadelphia area looking to get tickets to the upcoming Adult Swim Festival may have a better chance now because additional tickets have been released and you can get a hold of ’em here.

Slated to appear is Dethklok, panels for Rick and Morty, Aqua Teen, and Smiling Friends, and a whole bunch more.
