English Dub Review: Takt Op.Destiny “Preparing for Battle -Orpheus-”

Overview

A giant Black Night Siderite starts to stir as Sagan hums a certain melody. The Black Night Siderite that grows as big as a tree starts to swallow up the New York Symphonica. Sagan has finally made his move to make his ambitions come true. As Takt and Destiny witness this eerie spectacle, they find out that Anna and Charlotte are still inside the Symphonica…


Our Take

The Schneider sisters Lotte and Anna go deep into the Symphonica HQ to do their thing while Titan leads both Takt and Destiny to Sagan, although you can tell Titan was concerned with Takt’s steadily declining health. On the subject, even after Lenny’s death, his objective must be fulfilled even as Takt’s body is progressively in a very bad condition showing pain whenever he’s utilizing Destiny too much. Walkure is yet another strong Musicart despite her bull-head stubbornness, but at least she had her moment to shine in this episode in holding off the enemy.

I do admit a particular kiss between two specific characters caught me completely off guard and, At no point was there even a hint of affection between these two specific people in particular. And the last scene felt like a sub-boss/final-boss of sorts to a videogame with how terrifying that threat appears to be when they have to face off against Orpheus, who is a fused combination of Sagan’s Heaven and Hell Musicart henchpeople. Considering how tough either of them was individually, Orpheus will be a tough opponent, so I expect some well-animated action scenes in the grand finale.

Overall, with everything culminating to this moment, it seems like they are rushing it to the end, but nonetheless, the animation will gonna be top tier. I can tell from Takt’s eyes that he’s to fight Sagan again and end whatever his destructive goal is once & for all despite being in a bad state of health. And in the next episode, he will face probably the strongest opponent so far in the anime. I hope that Destiny and Takt beat the opponent and that they get out of there alive.
