Comedy Central taps new EVP of Orig Programming and Development

Deadline.com is reporting that Jim Sharp has been promoted to EVP of Original Programming and Development. Sharp was formerly Senior Vice President, and will now oversee development and production on all West Coast-based original pilots and series and in his new and expanded role, will also manage all digital development on CC:Studios.

Lately, Comedy Central have been picking up a SHIT load of animated projects for both digital and television, so it will be interesting to see how this new guy fares in making sure these TV shows stick around.
