Coming Soon: Chainsaw Sally ‘The Animated Series’
Inspired by the popular web series, Chainsaw Sally is a new animated series on the way that the producers promise will be made by fans of Johnny Quest, Looney Tunes, and Ren & Stimpy. According to a press release submitted to Dread Central:
Horror’s anti-heroine, Chainsaw Sally, will be at the center of a brand new animated television series. “As lifelong ‘Looney Tunes,’ ‘Johnny Quest’ and ‘Ren & Stimpy’ fans, bringing Sally to the animated world is like coming home,” JimmyO and April Burril said.
“Chainsaw Sally is lovable and brutal; the epitome of what a vigilante should be in the horror realm. Bloody Bombshell Entertainment and Fatality Films are elated to make this dream a reality in the coming months. Horror fans, watch out; we’re determined to change the way you think about horror programming,” said Andrea A. Albin of Bloody Bombshell Entertainment. Albin will helm “Chainsaw Sally: The Animated Series” as executive producer.
Chainsaw Sally’s Synopsis
Struggling with the trauma of her parents’ brutal murders, a poor farm girl turns into a homicidal vigilante to protect her hometown. They took her home. They took her family. They took her sanity. But they could never take her SAW. She’s 5’3” of Fuck You!
Sounds pretty awesome and if JimmyO and April really are fans of shows like Ren and Stimpy, then Chainsaw Sally could be a whole bunch of fun when it finally premiers. We don’t know when that is just yet, but when we do we will certainly let you guys know.
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
