A show like Family Guy that has been running for ten years has been playing off the cartoon cliché since inception. Brian Griffin, loyal canine of the Griffin’s is a pivotal character played by show creator Seth MacFarlane. The jokes about dogs, talking dogs, humanised dogs, and a dog that should be treated like a human have been played out through multiple storylines. However, Family Guy has found a way to keep this extended running gag relevant. Over 299 episodes (about to be 300 on Sunday) Brian has been involved and met his fair share of competition so, it is about time we start counting them down!
