‘BOBS BURGERS’ X ‘ARCHER’ ANNOUNCED

For those who didn’t buy Street Fighter X Tekken the “X” means “cross”, and in this case it means Bobs Burgers and Archer will be doing a crossover episode!! Yep, turns out Archer creator Adam Reed is a HUGE Bobs Burgers fan(can’t blame him) and he thought it would be a good idea for Bob(played by Jon Benjamin) to meet Mr. Sterling Archer(played by Jon Benjamin).

Entertainment Weekly had the exclusive and in the article they had a chance to interview Jon Benjamin where he was able to comment on the cross over:

“As for how the different visual styles of the shows will mesh, he says that “it’s Archer-style animation, but with all the accouterments and characteristics of the [Bob’s] characters.”

“It is a little weird,” he continues, “because you have to be a fan of both to understand it. But you don’t have to know about Bob’s Burgers to enjoy it.”

To follow up on Jon’s point, it will be interesting to see how they mix up the two different styles of show, however I do recommend everybody start watching Bobs Burgers as it recently made our list of ” The Ten Best Animated Series of the Year….so far” along with Archer so it will be interesting to see how great this comes out when it premiers on FX next season. Until then, Bobs Burgers premiers the rest of its 2nd season September 30th, 2012 on FOX. Until then, keep it locked here for updates!
