Social Games Preview: Crash Canyon Quest

Toronto-based gaming company Breakthrough Entertainment,  have released a new game based on the popular animated sitcom Crash Canyon.

The new game, aptly-titled Crash Canyon Quest, allows players to create a unique character and join the residents of Crash Canyon, where they are sent on quests, play mini-games, craft an escape vehicle or build a home – all the while interacting and socializing with other new Crash residents. Players have available to them a wide range of social networking tools like a dedicated friends lists, gifting and messaging options, and can visit each other’s Crash corner. The game is already quite expansive, but there will also be five expansion packs released adding additional quests, game locations and new mini games.

What I like most about this game is at the launch of each expansion pack, the player with the most reputation points (ie. the person who is the “The Mayor” on the game’s leaderboard) will win the Crash Canyon Community Cup.  Along with bragging rights, they’ll win the right to have their avatar placed in one of the series’ scripted video clips, which will not only be broadcast on the Teletoon At Night website, but also on air along with the series’ characters! (I WANT THAT!)

SO, if you kids at work are as bored as I am, check it out on the Crash Canyon Quest facebook page…
