‘LIFE’S A ZOO’ GETS PICKED UP IN AUSTRALIA, SPIN-OFF IN WORKS??

Cuppa Coffee studios is behind COUNTLESS animated series and have been for a number of years. Shows like Ugly Americans, Celebrity Deathmatch, and the upcoming The F’n Osbournes are all Cuppa prods but the one they are probably best known for internationally is Life’s a Zoo. Now the original run of the show was co-produced by Teletoon and Cuppa and all 13 episodes aired but despite the fact that it was critically acclaimed the show got axed.

For those who don’t remember Life’s a Zoo was an animated series that was more or less a spoof of the popular reality show Big Brother in that contestants get eliminated but in this show they always seem to come back every episode no matter what happens ala The Annoying Orange or Kenny from South Park.

However, that doesn’t mean the show doesn’t have life because according to a press release from Cuppa the show has a 3-year deal in place on FoxTel and guess what? Cuppa founder Adam Sheehan has said that they are planning a spin-off entitled The Pen starring two of the show’s original characters Ray and Jake, in which they play incompetent cops trying to clear their name. No word yet as to when the show premiers but we will be sure to let you know when we find out.
