Specialty Box Office for Anomalisa Starts Strong

The limited release for Anomalisa continues and this past weekend the Golden Globe-nominated animated film from Starburns Industries brought in 140k in ticket receipts to bring in a grand total of 213k against an $8 million budget.

In fairness, it’s not like Paramount is doing a TON of advertising on TV and whatnot, and with all of the awards nominations in tow for Anomalisa including Critics Choice, the Annies, and others, a ton of word-to-mouth should kick up. In the meantime, read our review for Anomalisa here.
