Hulu is starting to get serious with its original programming as they just announced a pick up of the new animated series called The Awesomes from SNL alums Seth Meyers and Michael Shoemaker. According to an article from The Hollywood Reporter:
The Awesomes, from Meyers and producer Michael Shoemaker, is about an unassuming superhero and his cohorts who battle diabolical villains, the ever-present paparazzi and a less-than-ideal reputation as second-class crimefighters. The series previously was in development for MTV and has been resurrected.
The one awesome note to pick up from this story is that MTV did NOT get the series, which means the show has a WAY better chance of succeeding. Oh yea, and if Seth Meyers aka Executive Producer of MacGruber is reading this PLEASE GIVE ME MORE MACGRUBER! Seriously, you can fuck me or I can fuck you or you can watch me fuck something. JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT ME TO FUUUUUCK!!!
Sorry, um so could Hulu be a player in the online animated TV wars? Whats your take?
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
