Un-aired/Controversial ‘High School USA!’ episode to make its television debut

A little over a year ago FOX ADHD was going strong. We were right in the thick of new seasons of both Axe Cop and High School USA!, and had gotten sneak peek episodes of both Golan the Insatiable and Lucas Bros. Moving Co. Yep, things were pretty awesome for cartoon fans each and every Saturday Night.

The only real major speed bump was on August 24th, when an already promoted episode of High School USA! entitled ‘Best Friends Forever’ was scheduled to air only to be pulled at the last minute. Turns out, the subject matter of the episode was too much for broadcast television, and as such, FOX’s legal team pulled it. We still have no idea why, and really FOX never came forward to own up to the mess. We eventually did get to review the episode as it streamed on Hulu for like a week, but even that was short-lived as ‘Best Friends Forever’ hadn’t been seen since. Not on Hulu, not on FOXADHD.com, nowhere…until now.

FXX recently took over the now defunct FOX ADHD and renamed it the ‘FXX Animation Block‘ just about a week or so ago, and we recently got word that not only are we getting a bunch of new episodes of Lucas Bros. Moving Company and Stone Quackers, but FXX will finally have available the television broadcast premier of High School USA!’s ‘Best Friends Forever’!

For those that don’t know, High School USA! was a series created by the brilliant Dino Stamatopoulos (Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole, Community) that centered around a group of typical high school kids dealing with the pressures of growing up ranging from bullies to failing test scores. In the episode ‘Best Friends Forever’, a secret tears Amber and her mom apart.

‘Best Friends Forever’ will air January 29th, 2015 @ Midnight EST/PST after an all-new Stone Quackers only on FXX. Check your local listings, because this may be the last-time you see this episode.
