Poor Shake is having trouble kicking his sea food loving habit. And who can blame him? Cooked sea food is delicious. Fry decides to take Shake to a hypnotist named Merlo whom warps the cup’s mind, but instead of hating on shellfish he carries out these menial tasks of revenge on behalf of the crazy Mr. Strange-looking doctor. The doctor-patient relationship goes so far that Merlo orders Shake to attack Frylock and then takes off to play golf with Meatwad and Shake. With a mind-mosquito getting ready to drain a captured Frylock, Shake tries his best to concentrate on the golf course, but we learn that he actually isn’t any good. However, Merlo becomes impress with Meatwad’s performance it looks as though the duo look to begin a relationship of their own. Eventually, Fry gets saved by Carl before any real harm comes, but Shake still seems to have issues with letting go of seafood.

Today’s episode was a bit all over the place, but there were a lot of funny ideas. Like, Fry getting mind-controlled was hysterical, and Merlo as a whole was a very strong character. However, the whole Fry getting caught up with the mosquito just seemed to get in the way of the funnier stuff and I don’t even think we had a good ending other than Shake getting hit in the head with a stray ball. An average at best episode of Aqua.
