English Dub Review: SHY “Hand Reached Out”
Overview:
Now a separate being once again, Mai returns to her internal struggles as Ai and Tokimaru desperately try to reach out to her. Members of Amarariruku ascend to the top of the tower to finish destroying the black sphere from the inside.
Our Take:
Not since Naruto have I seen this level of Talk no Jutsu. For those of you who don’t know what I’m referring to, in the Naruto series the title character Naruto does a lot of talking to villains. He reasons with them so he doesn’t have to fight them, I recently watched through this show so it’s fresh in my mind. Shy wasn’t the only one talking to Mai though, it was everyone, Ai and Tokimaru were especially convincing. Tokimaru was willing to cut down Shy and all of her friends if that was truly what she wanted.
Unfortunately, right when it seemed like they were convincing Mai she was welcome with them, members of Amarariruku showed up. I was worried that all of their work would be undone but Ai managed to get through to her sister and I’m glad she did. I’m a sucker for big splash team up moves and with Mai being on her sisters side we got an awesome one.
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
