The Amazing Digital Circus Headed To Netflix
October will be the one-year anniversary month of when the now Annie-nominated pilot episode of The Amazing Digital Circus will have premiered for Glitch Productions and now it looks like the series will be celebrating that anniversary with a big announcement for when the show’s third episode will premiere.
Starting October 4th, Netflix will also be home to brand-new episodes of The Amazing Digital Circus shortly after they debut on YouTube. To start, episodes 1-3 will kick things off on the aforementioned date followed by debuts of new episodes to come.
Written and directed by Gooseworx, The Amazing Digital Circus follows a group of humans trapped inside a circus-themed virtual reality game, where they are troubled by a rogue artificial intelligence while coping with personal traumas and psychological tendencies. The cast is as follows:
- Lizzie Freeman as Pomni
- Alex Rochon as Caine
- Michael Kovach as Jax
- Sean Chiplock as Kinger
- Amanda Hufford as Ragatha
- Marissa Lenti as Gangle
- Ashley Nichols as Zooble
The only thing wrong with this show? We get one new episode once every seven months or so and I wouldn’t mind seeing Netflix throw some bucks at Glitch Productions for a faster production cycle. Prime Video saw similar success in snatching up highly-touted YouTube producers, Netflix could very much get some of that same success if they play their cards right.
Do we know if Hulu will be the only entity to have the dub, or if it will be on other platforms, too? The show in general is definitely going to be on multiple platforms.
