NYCC 2024: WB Discovery Announces Adult Swim And MAX Adult Animation Panels

Adult Swim returns to New York Comic Con with can’t-miss panels featuring appearances from “Rick and Morty” executive producer Dan Harmon and “Lazarus” creator and acclaimed anime director Shinichirō Watanabe, breaking news, and exclusive debuts of never-before-aired content.

James Gunn has also confirmed that a deeper look into the highly-anticipated new MAX series from DC Studios, Creature Commandos will also be on hand featuring the likes of Gunn, Frank Grillo, David Harbour, Zoe Chao, Sean Gunn, Dean Lorey and Steve Agee on October 19th from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

• Adult Swim’s “Rick and Morty” Season Eight Sneak Peek – Celebrate the return of the global phenomenon “Rick and Morty” with executive producers Dan Harmon and Scott Marder and voice cast Harry Belden, Ian Cardoni, Sarah Chalke, Spencer Grammer, and Chris Parnell as they dive into the upcoming season. Thursday (10/17), 4:45 – 5:45pm, Main Stage
• Adult Swim’s “Lazarus” Sneak Peek and Q&A – Join anime legend Shinichirō Watanabe for a special look at his new Adult Swim series “Lazarus.” Celebrated for his influential body of work that includes “Cowboy Bebop,” “Lazarus” marks Watanabe’s return to the sci-fi action genre with a globe-trotting thriller set in the near future. Adult Swim’s head of action and anime and series executive producer Jason DeMarco, along with producers Joseph Chou and Takenari Maeda, will join Watanabe to discuss this exciting new series. Friday, (10/18), 3:30-4:30pm, Room 405

Bats in Translation: “Batman Ninja vs Yakuza League” and “Batman Azteca: Choque De Imperios” Video Presentation and Panel – Thursday, October 17, 3:00-4:00 pm/ET, Main Stage

First up is a special Batman panel spotlighting two upcoming movies, Aztec Batman and Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, covering the overall topic of “translating Batman.” Featuring an exclusive look at the films, the conversation will include members of the creative teams as they discuss the process of crafting original Bat lore through the lenses of each region’s unique stories, mythologies, and culture.
