Batman: Caped Crusader Voice Cast Revealed(7/2: Additional Cast Revealed)

While the streamer awaits a new season of Invincible which is rumored to drop sometime early 2025, Prime Video is slated to get into the animated Batman business this summer with an animated series titled Batman: Caped Crusader developed by Bruce Timm, J. J. Abrams, and Matt Reeves. Originally planned to premiere on Cartoon Network and also on HBO Max, the series is now scheduled for release on Amazon Prime Video with a two-season order planned to be released on August 1, 2024. Ed Brubaker was head writer for the first season of the series, with Greg Rucka and Marc Bernardin both writing episodes.

Today it was announced that Hamish Linklater will voice Batman and ironically enough Harley Quinn’s Batman voice, Diedrich Bader, will be in the series voicing Harvey Dent. Other notable names that are coming to the series are Christina Ricci as Selina Kyle, and Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn.

Additionally the series will have the following cast: Minnie Driver, Mckenna Grace, Eric Morgan Stuart(“Commissioner Gordon) , Michelle C. Bonilla(“Renee Montoya”), Krystal Joy Brown (“Barbara Gordon”), John DiMaggio, Paul Scheer, Reid Scott , Tom Kenny, Jason Watkins(“Alfred”), Gary Anthony Williams, Dan Donohue, David Krumholtz, Haley Joel Osment, Bumper Robinson(“Lucius Fox”)and Toby Stephens.

Maybe if this does well, Prime Video can get us that Smallville animated series that we keep hearing about.
