English Dub Review: Link Click “Can’t Live Without a Good Brother”

Overview:

The final confrontation’s conclusion.

Our Take:

The episode picks up where the last one left of: with Li Tianxi getting shot. It’s no surprise that Qian Jin is the one who did it. He brawls with Cheng Xiaoshi, Lu Guang and Captain Xiao until he’s finally taken in. Another big event happens during one of those fights, one that could alter the course of a potential third season.

This episode fills in most of the blanks with this season. We learn what actually happens in a lot of crucial plot points. The season two finale is just as heart-wrenching as last season’s. It’s hard to re-watch some of the events that took place this season, as well as the ones that we haven’t seen until now. It puts a lot more things into perspective.

The ending of the episode leaves room for a third season. It’s sure to be intriguing if it happens. Li Tianchen’s work doesn’t seem to be done. Plus, Lu Guang has an internal monologue in which he says he broke one of the rules of time travel. The episode makes it pretty obvious what he did, but I would love to see everyone’s reaction to the actual confession. Hopefully, we get to see that sooner rather than later.
