English Dub Review: Am I Actually the Strongest? “The Entrance Ceremony Hullabaloo”

Overview:

Haruto’s scheme to get kicked out of school backfires, and he happens to catch the attention of one of his professors. Elsewhere, Haruto’s copy happens to run into Iris, as well as trouble in the form of the student council vice president.

Our Take:

This is one of those anime that are really hard to review for me. There have been very few anime that I actually hated, but I will say since I started this job I’ve seen more than I used to, but that is just the nature of the job. Maybe I’ll do a list one day of my top five worst anime since now I might actually have a list to go with. What I am trying to say in a really poor way is that I don’t know where to place this yet. It’s not bad by any means but it doesn’t really do anything special either. The characters haven’t really left the greatest of impressions either. I’m kind of surprised because the first episode had a sexy fox lady try to get impregnated by a reincarnated baby guy (yes I know how that sounds) but they haven’t made too big of an impression since.

That could be changing soon because a new character has been introduced in the last couple of episodes and I have to say… I’m a fan. Iris was seemingly just another harem candidate but after this episode, I think she might be way more than that. I don’t know if that will come to fruition but she has made me way more interested in the last few episodes.
