English Dub Review: Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury “Not the Best Way”

Overview:

Descending to Earth with the Aerial, Miorine holds discussions with the Earthians leading the protests. Given the grim situation on the ground, it seems peaceful negotiations will be almost impossible. Meanwhile, the members of Earth House are unable to cheer up the despairing Suletta…

Our Take:

Guel has to go down as the character who has had the most growth. So far at least… I’m looking forward to seeing other characters grow as well. What seems to be going on is a lot of very interesting political maneuvering. When I saw the first episode of this I began to theorize a lot about how I thought things might turn out. I definitely thought that Prospera and Elnora were the same people and sure I was right but this isn’t how I hoped it would turn out.

I was hoping that it would be more enjoyable I guess? It’s an interesting way to do things by showing that revenge isn’t exactly what we want most times. Since we are seemingly on the opposite side of her revenge at the moment it leaves a bitter taste. Something tells me that Suletta and her “mother” are going to have a violent heart-to-heart sooner rather than later.
