Review: Middlemost Post “Dolores Moody; P.I.R.A.T.E.”

Overview

“Dolores Moody”

Parker tries to cheer up the grouchiest woman on Mt. Middlemost, Dolores Moody (Voiced by Veronica Alicino).

P.I.R.A.T.E.

Parker, Angus, and Russell must save the S.S. Steadfast from a pirate hijacking.

Our Take

For the first episode, Parker encounters a Rock person who isn’t known for being the most friendly towards everyone in general and while Parker attempts to bring a smile to her face are well-intentioned, Angus tries to help him comprehend that you can’t make everyone happy and some people are just better off alone which you’d think would be the end of it, but Parker takes things a step further…

As for the other one, has actual stakes this time around when Angus’s ship/home is taken by a Pirate named Chest-Beard who has a grudge against Angus’s ancestors and they proceed to play the Pirate equivalent of “H.O.R.S.E.” to get their ship/home back only with the ending finding its unique way to work itself out mostly due to something Chest Beard hilariously overlooked…

Overall, both episodes were passable for how wacky they progressively got. The first one felt a bit unhinged with what Parker tried to accomplish in terms of “making everyone happy”, While the other episode introduced more characters that we might see in the future given his understandable grudge against Angus which remains to be seen he’ll be a recurring foe or not.
