Review: Middlemost Post “Cloud of the Month; A. Plumber”

“Cloud of the Month”
After receiving the Middlemost Post’s “Cloud of the Month” award, Parker gets a big head about the new title.


“A. Plumber”
Parker calls a plumber when the toilet is clogged, but it is Ryan who dresses up to solve the problem.

Our Take

For the first episode, much of both the humor and Drama comes from Parker discovering the concept of “Employee of the Month” which he further questions Angus about, however in what at first was a harmless but kind gesture, turns into an unhealthy ego boost on Parkers end which can be noticed visually and even in attitude, leading to Parker to some unwanted changes that don’t sit well with Angus…

As for 2nd one, the proceedings begin with a comedy of errors, but when Parker does something purely accidental which is where the story begins to actually pick up. And consequently, Ryan is ordered by the Mayor to disguise himself but things take an unexpected but fun direction when it starts to parody Macho 80’s Montages…

Overall, both episodes were fun, well-paced, and gave me a chuckle here and there. I can understand the need to feel like you matter to a workplace, but sometimes a small idea made into reality can mean a lot to an employee depending on its execution and impact. While the other episode is more of a cliche “bad guy in disguise” episode since the Mayor is often the antagonist in this series and I did have a good laugh at the 80’s montage-inspired scenes, along with an unexpected but funny ending to cap it off.
