Our Take

Much of the humor delves into the topic of bullying, for Annie, she’s being bullied by a neighbor/rival of her parents produce market place nicknamed the “Nut-Guy” who seems to get a kick out of harassing Annie with childish pranks, while Pony’s problems are on a larger scale with an entire alley full of pissed off stray cats that keep him from entering the alley itself. Yet thanks to Annie’s parents, she may have found a solution to those problems right in front of her…

As for the 2nd episode, the two leads attempt to stop a Graffiti Artist named Max who has zero disregards for the park. This also has its only running joke involving one of Annie’s friends being sort of framed for Max’s crimes in which the two subplots slowly converge as the proceedings get worse with Max finding new motivations to spray paint that often involves the phrase “I’m not getting a job because it’s for conformists” with her primary target being a Horse statue that Pony adores…

Overall, both episodes were well-paced, fun, and wacky but in different ways, and share a common theme of standing up for what’s right. The first episode even revealed something interesting about cats regarding cucumbers which made me laugh but shockingly this discovery is 100% real. While the 2nd episode was mostly funny how they tried to find non-violent solutions to stop a graffiti artist which lead to pointing out how hypocritical her backwards-thinking philosophy is when it comes to the avoidance of getting a job.
