English Dub Review: The Dungeon of Black Company “Crash EvolutiOn”

Overview

Belza’s Bodyguards have been all but totally defeated by the fierce Guardians of the fifth floor. In the nick of time, a hero arrives to save them and it’s the last person they’d expect… Kinji Ninomiya.


Our Take

I love that everything has led up to this moment. Kinji was obviously playing all of them which actually had me laughing. Despite Kinji being quite an asshole sometimes, and easily having one of the most “shit-eating grin” faces I’ve ever seen animated within this show.

So much was packed into this particular episode. I’ll even admit that little “endgame” of Kinji’s was genius. And to put it mildly, did what is possibly something any smart person in business would do in his situation.

Overall, despite the actual season finale coming after this, this episode feels like the show should end here. But since there’s one episode left I think Ninomiya may have peaked too soon and I doubt his little victory last which leaves me curious about what kind of outcome the finale would entail…
