Our Take:

This week’s set of episodes of Middlemost Post offers nothing but the tooth and a bunch of complimentary toast. So I hope you got the teeth and stomach to chow down on them. The first episode, “The Tooth Hurts”, started with Parker and Russel playing fetch with Russel’s tusk. When they accidentally lose it to a bird, resulting in Russel puking out mail continuously, Parker and Lily do whatever it takes to find a replacement, even if it means lying out of building a clubhouse with Angus. The episode once again continues the show’s efforts in offering kid-friendly messages as well as some clever and humorous charm. “The Tooth Hurts” may be a bit formulaic, but it’s a solid episode that showcases the importance of telling the truth, even though it’s as painful as lying or even losing a tooth.

The second episode, “The Middlemost Toast”, saw Parker, Angus, and Russel celebrating Free Toast Day at the Middlemost Toast. To get their free toast, they have to wait in a long line. The catch is that supplies are limited. After discovering that Angus has never had any free toast before, Parker and Russel attempt to make the line shorter so that Angus can finally get his toast. Like “The Tooth Hurts”, this episode showcased another kid-friendly message amid its charismatic scenario. “The Middlemost Toast” shows that in order to earn something, you have to be patient, as told by Angus. Parker happened to learn his lesson at the end thanks to the angry mob and compensated by using rain and lightning to turn the crumbs of Angus’s toast into more toast.

Overall, the episodes provided some entertaining scenarios and some well-executed messages for the young viewers. It’s always essential to tell the truth, and patience can lead to satisfying rewards. With the addition of its clever humor, including the Grey Area being a marketplace and Angus holding in his “wee-wee”, these episodes are my favorites of the bunch so far.
