THE TEN BEST ANIMATED TELEVISION SHOWS OF 2012: #10 ‘ARCHER’

This show was listed at number 8 of the ‘Best Animated Series of 2012…So Far’ list and the only reason the show dropped a few spots was additional competition that blew us away. That said, Archer really grew in 2012 and offered up some of the best guest star roles anyone could ask for including Burt Reynolds, Bryan Cranston, and others that always seem to fit like gloves opposite of Jon Benjamin. The art direction led by Matt Thompson is some of the best in the business and in 2012 it got better with outrageous car chase scenes, thrilling train sequences, and travels through space that would make George Lucas shutter. The animation got SO good, that FX has made it a standard that every animated series shown on its network is produced by Floyd County Prods. No other network has done that but Disney and not surprisingly so as there are few programs out there that have helped instill the powerhouse that is the FX Networks such as Archer.

With Season 3 in the books, Season 4 is set at pre-heat and is certainly warming up. Already, Malory has a wedding date to keep, we are getting a Bob’s Burgers cross over, and I’m sure Sterling is going to continue to fondle anything that moves. Because of this, Archer very well could be higher up this list come mid-next year.
