Netflix adds ‘BoJack’ Animated Comedy set to premiere in 2014

NETFLIX, INC. BOJACK HORSEMAN

If you want online pay services for animated comedies, your only option up until this point is Hulu as they’ve premiered two brand-new series’ in 2013 called Mother Up! and The Awesomes. Amazon took a shot but decided to stick with the kid stuff, and now it looks like Netflix is looking to jump in with its new series BoJack coming mid-2014.

Unlike Hulu’s model of uploading one episode a week of their shows, Netflix is uploading 12 episodes all at once next year, and according to a press release the series follows BoJack is a half man/half horse played by Will Arnett (Sit Down, Shut Up) whom is almost like an animated Bob Saget where he has been trying to find his way through a muddle of self-loathing, whisky and failed relationships. He brings on a new human sidekick named Todd voiced by Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and a cat-agent named Princess Caroline voiced by Amy Sedaris (Strangers with Candy).

This show already sounds insane, but it’s going to look good too because rising animation studio ShadowMachine (TripTank) is animating of whom is primed to have a stellar 2014.
