Robot Chicken Moving Towards Specials Rather Than Full Season Orders Says Seth Green

In the latest episode of the Comic Book School podcast, co-hosted by Mike Fasolo (Robot Chicken) we get a brand-new interview with Seth Green where the Stoopid Buddy Stoodios owner talks about the future of Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken. 

During the course of the interview, Seth Green mentions that Robot Chicken moving forward will be moving away from the 20-episode order models and into more of a South Park special model. In other words, next year, expect to see a Robot Chicken special of some sort that will hopefully lead to more specials, but the series itself looks to be on the outs for the foreseeable future.

While this is crummy news, Stoopid Buddy Stoodios is one of the busier studios in the business with OMG! Earth! heading to Adult Swim, Filthy Animals and Micro Mayhem heading to The Roku Channel, and the as yet-released  Superbago feature-length film from Sony Pictures Animation.
