Report: Magic: The Gathering Animated Series Dead Says Show’s Star

A number of years ago Netflix had announced that they had teamed up with Anthony and Joe Russo to produce an animated series inspired by Magic The Gathering with Brandon Routh voicing the lead character of Gideon Jur. The series was supposed to release in 2023, but then producers started jumping off of the project including the aforementioned Russos and both Henry Gilroy and Jose Molina. Jeff Kline then took on the project though in a new report from Collider, voice actor Brandon Routh has confirmed that the series is a no-go.

That said, Netflix’s Geeked Week 2024 is soon upon us and we have a lot to look forward to for the world’s biggest streamer through the rest of 2024 and beyond.
