For those that don’t recall, Fugget About It was a one-time exclusive Canadian-produced adult animated sitcom featuring Tony Nappo in the lead role as “Jimmy Falcone” who has to take his family out of NYC and migrate north into Canada as part of Witness Protection. After almost fifty episodes the series was canceled several years ago, but if this new promo from the latest YouTube drop is any indication it looks as though the series is slated to produce new content for the YouTube channel sooner rather than later.
For the first six months of 2024, AVOD services increased viewership by 2% while streaming on SVOD channels like Netflix decreased by 2% according to a new report from JustWatch so the tendency to gain revenue from AVOD channels like YouTube is as ripe as ever, independently-produced adult animation like Fugget About It could find a new and affluent home for the future without the need for networks altogether.
