Our Take

While the opening established a decent recap before a big fight, the rest of the episode had a noticeable drop in animation quality during key action scenes, particularly a fight involving two antagonists who design-wise look like humanoid Pokemon characters. Yet despite the visual shortcomings, the character interactions and team dynamics stood out, especially with the addition of a new character, Reiren. Her rivalry with Rinne added some lighthearted moments, while Jeanne’s gradual character development provided emotional depth.

The episode also delved deeper into the world’s lore, setting up a promising exploration of the megaliths and their mysteries. Although the action sequences left more to be desired, the story progressed with intriguing new elements and character backstories, keeping the audience engaged.

Overall, while the visuals were a letdown, the episode made up for it by advancing the plot and building character relationships. With only a few episodes left, the story is gearing up for an exciting conclusion, as the world’s secrets slowly come to light, and the characters continue to evolve.
