English Dub Review: SHY “A Nice Guy”

Overview:

Stardust confronts Stigma and Quabala alone, while Ai and Shy’s confrontation with Mai takes a turn for the worst. Ai struggles to accept her sister’s fall from grace, and Stardust receives a bone-chilling revelation from Stigma.

Our Take:

The first time we met Stardust I remember thinking he was a huge douche. To be fair he is but at the same time, it’s become clear that he’s got a heart of gold and will do what he has to to save people. He’s even taking on the big bad Stigma and Quabala all alone and handles Quabala with no problem. But then Stigma revealed their main plan to inspire fear in all the people watching this fight. Quabala stabbed Stardust from behind which linked him to her. Now any damage Stardust gives Quabala he feels instead of her, but this badass doesn’t care and looks to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Meanwhile, Ai and Shy are confronting Mai and it’s not going well. Ai cannot accept that Mai has gone down this dark path. But something has happened with the swords they both own because once blood was spilled the two of them merged somehow. Now it’s up to Shy to save them both.
