English Dub Review: My Hero Academia “The Chain Thus Far”

Overview:

Toga consumed Twice’s blood, and with Kurogiri’s Warp, infinite doubles of Twice appear. Shigaraki’s Decay is also released, and the heroes seem to be in a state of despair. But then, help comes from an unexpected quarter…

Our Take:

Whether you are enjoying the way this final arc is going or not, one thing you have to give this series credit for is it’s character development. Endeavor is one of the best examples but there are plenty of them in this series. I love how this final arc is letting the villains shine. Yes, I mean the villains and the “villains”. Some characters like Gentle Criminal and La Brava return to the series and while I didn’t think they were all that evil to begin with it’s nice to see them get a chance at redemption.

I’m going to be honest, whenever I start to hear the music of “Might+U” start to play I get chills. There is something about that song and when they decide to play it is always the perfect timing. I love what one of the police officers said in this episode when he was talking about villains. At the end of the day, villains are people too and have different motivations. While life’s circumstance led them to do something that was wrong, they can all realize that their help will be needed to take down Shigaraki.
