Overview:

With the addition of Gentle, La Brava, and Lady Nagant, Deku can restrain Shigaraki’s hands and confront him on the ground. Meanwhile, at the Gunga Villa site, the rewound All For One shows off his awful power…

Our Take:

Brittney Karbowski deserves a Lifetime Achievement Award for contributing to anime voice acting. She was in this episode for maybe three minutes and it was some of the best dialogue I’ve heard in this series. Hearing her say “Hawks is a total rizzcake, you can’t unalive that snack, I’d enter my depression era” wasn’t something I thought I would ever hear her say but it boosted the episode by at least a point.

I’m joking a little bit but this was a great episode. I loved seeing a lot of the villains that Deku had faced in the past come to the rescue all over the battlefield. Nagant shot at All for One and that boy was not happy about that if his shit-talking afterward is anything to go by. Gentle better get his sentence reduced or eradicated after all he’s done to help the heroes defeat Shigiraki. There’s even video evidence now that the business students have been filming it on their phones. Normally I would think that’s poor behavior during a crisis but their reasoning was sound. They were upset that after Endeavor’s fight with High End, he was being thrown under the bus but if someone had been there to film it they would know it wasn’t all his fault. I can also see it mattering for historical purposes but all I’m saying is #freegentle.
