English Dub Review: My Hero Academia “Butterfly Effect”

Overview:

Spinner and Present Mic both yell their hearts out. Will the one waking up to their voices be Kurogiri or Shirakumo? Meanwhile, fighting Ochaco and the others on Okuto Island, Toga will finally use her secret weapon…!

Our Take:

If you thought that the villains were going to take their ass-whooping lying down then you have another thing coming. I don’t remember things looking this bleak or going this way in the manga but it has been a while. But if there’s one thing I do remember it’s that you don’t want to piss off Toga. Once you get her angry she is going to make you pay, in this case, that means drinking the blood of her former friend, Twice.

Now… I don’t know if you remember but Toga unlocked more of her power. Not only does she take on the appearance of someone when she drinks their blood but now she can also use their quirk. That means she can do Twice’s “Sad Man’s Parade” but I don’t think she will have the same limits he did. It looked like our heroes were going to run away with the victory soon but the last few episodes have shown us that the villains had quite a few tricks up their sleeves.
