English Dub Review: Bye Bye, Earth “Silence of Keys Unplayed”

Overview:

At long last, Belle attempts her final trial to become a nomad. Confronted with a strange instrument, she must face her doubts. Meanwhile, Adonis comes face-to-face with a chilling revelation.

Our Take:

This episode should probably come with a trigger warning. Adonis doesn’t fully commit an assault but he gets pretty damn close and I might not understand much of what is going on in this show but I know that was a bad move by him. Especially, if he wanted to be with her because I imagine that killed any chances he might have had. I was rooting for those two as well but some major healing is going to have to happen for Adonis to be close to a good partner. Belle doesn’t deserve that type of behavior and I didn’t like how Adonis used some awful words to try and hurt Belle. She was one of the few people who didn’t treat him poorly and now that relationship might be damaged beyond repair.

Belle was attempting a trial to become a nomad, I have no idea why she wants to do that or what the trial was. I saw her playing the piano a bit and talking with the king, at least I think he’s the king… see the problem? It’s hard to tell what is going on with this show. The characters are interesting and I like Belle being the only human but it just hasn’t been as big of a deal as I thought it would. I think we have one episode left in this season and I’m no closer to understanding what’s happening.
