English Dub Review: A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring “I Hope We Can Make Friends…”

Overview:

Takumi has a conversation with Cedric, the lord of Bailey. Cedric shows particular interest in the food that Takumi has introduced to the land. Cedric’s sons also seem enthusiastic.

Our Take:

This might as well be called “Making a Killing in Another World by Selling Food from a Past Life: I Also Got Two Kids Somehow” because that is what the last three episodes have been about. Don’t get me wrong that’s interesting in a way but I wish it was more focused on that or the adventuring because as it stands this has been more about culinary adventures.

If the kids weren’t so cute and involved then this series would be one of the worst I’ve seen. I’m exaggerating but the kids are so adorable and their relationship with Takumi is so wholesome that it makes up for a lot of the shortcomings this series has. Allen and Elena saw Cedric’s kids holding his hand and for some reason, they never thought to hold Takumi’s hand. Watching them put it together and try to work up the courage to ask Takumi to hold hands was the cutest. Takumi noticed them wanting something and offered his hand as they strolled through the food stalls.
