English Dub Review: A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring “Bye-Bye! See You Next Time!”

Overview:

Takumi arrives once again at Cedric’s place with the twins, and Cedric immediately has a request for him. Next up is a dungeon that they haven’t yet completed. What awaits them down there?

Our Take:

Takumi and the kids decided to finish off the dungeon they hadn’t finished before. Nothing says family bonding quite like destroying a dungeon boss and collecting some loot. What was more interesting was that Takumi took all this time to realize he had a huge impact on the kid’s life. Takumi was about to go on a quest for a while and leave the kids behind (for some reason) and that boy started crying realizing how much he was going to miss them.

It was cute and everything but I didn’t quite understand why he was leaving them behind. Perhaps peer pressure got to him and he felt like he HAD to because no one takes kids into as many dangerous places as Takumi does. With this being the last episode I feel a little torn. It wasn’t a bad show by any means but it’s not one I think I would have watched had I not reviewed it. I’m glad I have a little while to get my thoughts composed before I write up the season review.
