Industry News: Titmouse X Polygon ; Cutting Class X Lakeside Animation Announce Co-Prod Deals

Joshua Bowen and Carly Sacks made waves earlier this year when they left Blue Ant Media and formed their own production company Cutting Class Media that intends to focus on developing adult animation projects with Joshua leading the division with impending greenlights already on the docket.

Now Cutting Class has announced that they have announced a 10-project deal with Lakeside Animation that will include adult animation dramas, comedies, and everything in between. Joshua’s previous company Look Mom! Productions (Night Sweats, Doomlands) had a partnership in place prior and this one intends to foster those relationships with both long-form and features being touted as possibilities.

Titmouse, the comedy and counterculture animation brand known for such well-known series as Big Mouth, The Legend of Vox Machina, The Venture Bros., Star Trek: Lower Decks, and Beavis and Butt-Head, and Polygon Pictures, one of the most respected CGI studios that brought the world beloved works such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Tron: Uprising, Transformers Prime, Pacific Rim: The Black, BLAME! and Love Death + Robots, have announced a partnership to develop and produce CG series.

The non-exclusive partnership will combine the best of both animation studios, with their distinctive styles and specialized expertise, to produce multiple CG series. Titmouse’s unparalleled comedic and subversive creative and storytelling approach and direction mixed with Polygon’s top-tier CG proficiency across multiple areas, especially high-end action, will bring to the table CG series that haven’t yet been seen on streaming platforms.
Multiple series are currently in development and will be announced at a later date.
