High On Life Animated Series In Development With JB Smoove

The wrongfully-accused Justin Roiland’s contributions to the animation industry is still as prolific as ever. Series created by the producer include Solar Opposites and Rick and Morty, are both on television and now it seems another franchise that Justin had hand in could see the light of day. This one is in the form of an animated series adaptation of High On Life. 

High On Life comes from Squanch Games which was founded by Justin Roiland and featured the Rick and Morty creator in the role as “Kenny” and helped lead off a game that featured a fantastic cast including Jack Black, Susan Sarandon Thomas Middleditch, Michael Cusack (Smiling Friends), David Herman (Futurama), Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants), Tim Robinson (Detroiters), and JB Smoove.

That last name is important because according to Deadline, JB will be producing and potentially starring in the animated series adaptation, presumably in his High On Life role as “Gus”. The series is currently in development but who knows how long that’s gonna take. In any event, this is a good day to be a game that Eurogamer told everyone to “avoid”.
