Overview

A new school year means a new class and new friends. Unfortunately, it also means new challenges to Kyotaru and Anna’s evolving “situationship”.

Our Take This time around the third year/semester begins with a new class that introduces a blend of familiar faces and new challenges. While the change of environment offers a fresh start, the relationship between the two leads remains a focal point, particularly as they navigate the dynamics of their new classmates. Among these is Andou Kanna, a bubbly girl with a penchant for celebrating budding romances, who quickly sets her sights on Kyotaro and Anna. This puts Kyotaro on high alert as he tries to keep his feelings for Anna under wraps, especially around Andou. The rest of the proceedings are mostly spent devoting themselves to the awkwardness and charm of teenage relationships, with Kyotaro and Anna finding themselves in several compromising situations which were mostly played for laughs. Along with Anna’s endearing attempts to clear up misunderstandings, such as writing a heartfelt letter to Hanzawa, show her growing awareness of Kyotaro’s feelings and his need for privacy. The new classroom setting also brings out the playful dynamics between old and new characters, adding layers of humor undercut with bits of tension here and there.Overall, this episode does a great job of balancing lighthearted moments with the deeper emotions of the characters. It emphasized the gradual growth in Kyotaro and Anna’s relationship, reflecting how they’ve both matured since the start of the series. While the new class presents some hurdles, the chemistry between the characters continues to shine. Now I’m left wondering what will happen next since there are only 3 episodes left this season…
