English Dub Review: Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World? “The Hero of the Demons”

Overview

After the demon attack on Neo Vishal, the resistance launches a major offensive against the demons and their heroine with the help of Kai and Rinne. But will Kai’s knowledge from his world and Rinne’s powers be enough to defeat the demons?

Our Take

The Urza Federation Rebel Army, led by Kai, Saki, Ashran, and Rinne, embarks on another mission to defeat Vanessa, battling demons at the government palace. Kai’s knowledge of demon tactics and Rinne’s immense power make them a formidable team. As Jeanne and the others hold the line, the group’s goal is clear: to advance Kai toward Vanessa, with Rinne prepared to handle the fight on her own if necessary.

Kai confronts Vanessa, revealing his origins and the significance of the Hero Prophet Sid and the Code Holder sword he wields. Meanwhile, Rinne seizes her opportunity for revenge, though she quickly realizes that this version of Vanessa is different from the one she previously encountered, along with a twist that even threw me off, but in a good way…

Overall, this episode showcased some intense battles, particularly Jeanne’s struggle against the demons, and hints at deeper mysteries involving Rinne’s true nature along with a well-executed twist and high production values, which helped in terms of escalation. The pacing remains fast, but the action and character dynamics, especially between Kai and Rinne, are engaging. As the story progresses, the show raises intriguing questions about the characters’ pasts and the world’s altered reality, leaving me puzzled yet compelled to see where the story goes next!
