English Dub Review: Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture “Devastating Force”

Overview:

To thwart Norland’s evil plans, Rozé launches an operation to nullify the
Situmpe Wall.

Our Take:

That was a lame opening but things are looking bleak for our heroes and that is one of the more inspirational lines I can think of. You might be asking what is a Situmpe Wall. Well, it’s a wall that seemingly makes all electronics fail, like an EMP. An airplane flew into it and subsequently crashed into the ground. That got me thinking that with technology being what it is, you would think that there would be some parachutes or something for the pilots to bail out with.

Roze is on their way to try and rescue Ash but because of the wall they have to find another way through. This leads them to ask for help from a group they might not have originally, the Neo-Brittanians. We’ve finally reached the point in the story where the enemy of my enemy is my friend. The frustrating part was that getting their help was pointless because Roze got locked in trying to shut down the wall and was rescued by their allies. With how fast things are happening right now I’m starting to get a little worried this might not have a satisfying conclusion.
