English Dub Review: A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring “Crab! Crab!”

Overview:

Takumi bids farewell to the Azure Palace and continues on his way to Bailey. Along the way, he discovers a dungeon with 30 levels and decides to explore it a bit.

Our Take:

One thing I love about isekai is how the characters can almost always make money by creating and selling food items from their world. Takumi came across a scallops vendor and put butter and soy sauce on them and blew everyone’s mind. The vendor sold out of scallops for the first time in a long time and decided to seek out a way to make soy sauce. I always love it when things like that happen but Takumi doesn’t quite take advantage like other protagonists do.

The other thing I love is also something you might run into when playing a video game. Takumi visited a blacksmith to put in a request for some armor for him and the kids. Some of his requests were a bit outrageous without some of the fancy things he wanted because the materials needed would be impossible to get. Except you guessed it, he already has everything he needs. Nothing is more video-gamey or isekai than that.
